Our mission is to preserve the iconic images of surfing and action sports, including films, raw footage, and photographs stored in the Nalu Vault.
We preserve the work of athletes, filmmakers, and photographers across surfing and action sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, and skiing, so these archives remain accessible to future generations.

The Nalu Film Foundation preserves archival collections related to surfing and action sports by scanning films, slides, photographs, and digitizing videos in all formats.
We aim to create a searchable database for easy access to these materials. All archives are backed up using LTO (Linear Tape-Open) technology and stored in a climate-controlled environment to ensure the preservation of these iconic collections for future generations.
